Fundición Ferrosa attended IV COMASURMIN congress at the Universidad Nacional de Moquegua from the 7th – 11th of May, together with representatives of the mining companies Southern Peru, Anglo American and Minsur, among others.
At Ferrosa’s stand they learned closer details of its products and services, already present in huge enterprises like Las Bambas and Toromocho.

These steel alloys provide good ductility combined with great hardness and high resistance to wear. Austenitic manganese steel when first made (Robert Hadfield, 1882) had a combination of 12% Manganese and 1.2% Carbon.
In metallurgy, a ductile metal is the one able to be deformed before breaking. The opposite, a fragil one, breaks with just the slightest deformation.

This extends the piece’s useful life, saves on maintenance standstills, and expands efficiency.
